Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location

Lynchburg, VA | Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 10-Hour Shifts | 1–2 nights of call per week; 3 weekend call shifts (24-hour, Saturday/Sunday) per 10-week period | 30-minute call response time required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care within an Orthopedic Services Operating Room setting
• Respond to on-call assignments within a 30-minute response time
• Participate in weekend call coverage as scheduled (Saturday/Sunday, 24-hour shifts)
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe and effective patient care throughout operative procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Operating Room nursing
• Strong Orthopedic surgical background required
• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; local candidates will not be considered for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Cerner electronic health records system
• Familiarity with orthopedic surgical procedures and instrumentation
