Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
• Administer and manage medications safely, with competency validated through safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• Maintain compliance with annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules
• Participate in holiday rotation, working at least every other holiday as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications — must be in hand at time of submission
• NIH Stroke Scale certification — must be obtained prior to start date
• Epic EMR experience required
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty — must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months; co-worker references will not be accepted
• Must achieve an acceptable score on both the ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (maximum of 2 attempts permitted)
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single Med Surg / Telemetry location preferred, though combined experience across locations is considered
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience working in a large health system environment
