Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing

Location

Atkinson, NE | Skilled Nursing Facility

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting with a patient ratio of approximately 1:17
• Manage and monitor residents with complex diagnoses including CHF, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, CVA-related conditions, Diabetes Mellitus, A-fib, and related comorbidities
• Perform and oversee care involving ostomies, catheters, edema management, and pain control
• Document resident care accurately using the PointClickCare (PCC) EMR system
• Participate in facility-specific orientation covering North and South unit protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or a compact state license accepted in Nebraska
• Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) electronic medical records
• Experience managing residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and behavioral health diagnoses such as depression and anxiety
• Background working with post-CVA patients and those requiring wound or ostomy care
