Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Orangeburg, SC | Acute Care Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Rotate every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including like units, as required
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications throughout the assignment
• Be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers are welcome
• Telemetry competency required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered under standard placement; locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH stroke scale certification preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
