Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Orangeburg, SC | Acute Care Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment with acuity-based patient ratios
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
• Float within scope to meet facility and department needs, including like units as required
• Document patient care and clinical information accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November), as required by facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required (American Heart Association accepted)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI certification preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• First-time travel nurses welcome provided Emergency Room experience requirement is met
