Registered Nurse – ICU

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a 36-bed critical care unit, including dedicated critical care and step-down beds
• Monitor and manage patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring, including those in shock
• Care for vascular, thoracic, and cardiac surgery patients as well as patients with acute respiratory conditions requiring mechanical ventilation
• Utilize cardiac ICU rooms equipped with operating room-quality lighting for emergency situations
• Document and manage patient care using Cerner EMR
• Float to other units within scope of competencies as needed based on facility needs

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse license required at time of start (candidates may be screened prior to obtaining)
• BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) required prior to start date
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in ICU specialty
• Ability to adhere to facility-assigned scheduling; no self-scheduling or block scheduling
• All compliance documentation must be submitted 7 days prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Background in critical care settings involving hemodynamic monitoring or mechanical ventilation
