Job Title

Travel RN – Telemetry (2 North)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Perform lab draws, IV insertions, foley insertions, and administration of IV fluids and medications including antibiotics
• Prepare patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures and communicate effectively with physicians
• Complete required daily charting, attend daily huddle at 0645/1845, and conduct bedside shift report
• Manage admissions and discharges using the Expanse EMR system
• Float to other units as needed within scope of skill set

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas
• BLS certification required
• Telemetry experience required
• Familiarity with Expanse EMR, including admissions and discharges
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous hands-on experience with Expanse EMR
• Ability to independently draw labs
• At least one year of acute care experience in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry or step-down unit
