Job Title

Sterile Processing Technician – Operating Room

Location

Kansas City, KS

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Evening Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Weekend rotation required | Holiday rotation required | On-call required as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sterile processing duties in a high-volume Operating Room environment
• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Rotate across SPD locations within the health system as needed
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required
• Fulfill on-call responsibilities as needed
• Precept (mentor and train) new team members or students as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active CRCST or CSPDT Certification required
• Minimum 2–3 years of sterile processing experience required due to high volume of work
• New graduates are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1.5 to 2 years of travel/contract assignment experience preferred
• Experience precepting or mentoring new staff or students
• Familiarity with multi-site SPD operations within a large health system
