Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care on a 32-bed Medical/Surgical unit with remote telemetry capabilities
- Monitor and manage patients on telemetry as ordered, with 24/7 telemetry monitoring support
- Administer and manage IV drips including Heparin in accordance with facility protocols
- Care for a diverse medical patient population including those with COPD, CHF, GI Bleed, Cellulitis, TIA, Stroke (post-stabilization), and Alcohol Intoxication
- Manage BiPAP patients and support hospitalist patient assignments
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Indiana or compact licensure eligibility
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience in a Medical/Surgical inpatient setting
- Ability to work night shift
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with remote telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Familiarity with Heparin drip management and related protocols
- Experience caring for BiPAP-dependent patients
- Background working with neurological patients including stroke and TIA populations
