Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting across day shift rotations
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as required by unit standards
• Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols
• Utilize the Epic electronic health record system for documentation and care coordination
• Participate in orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations
• Expected to work at least every other holiday as part of the standard scheduling rotation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months combined permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission
• ACLS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission
• NIH Stroke Scale certification — must be obtained prior to start date
• Epic electronic health record experience required
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months, required at time of submission
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single Med Surg / Telemetry location preferred, though combined experience across facilities is considered
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and ECG rhythm interpretation
• Strong medication administration background with comfort in high-acuity environments
