Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as part of ongoing patient monitoring
• Administer and manage medications safely, with proficiency validated through facility assessments
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in holiday coverage on a rotating basis (at least every other holiday expected)
• Complete required facility orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate, with an acceptable passing score

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months combined permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at time of submission — no pending licenses accepted
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification required at time of submission
• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained prior to start date
• Epic electronic health records experience required
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months, required at time of submission
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Permanent experience within a single Med Surg / Telemetry location preferred
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience working in a large health system environment
