Travel RN – Labor & Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care throughout labor, delivery, and recovery in a 16-LDR, 3-OR, 3-Triage unit
• Perform triage assessments and antepartum care
• Circulate for C-section procedures
• Provide first-hour newborn care (excluding admission assessment, eyes and thighs) and breastfeeding assistance
• Monitor patients using Novii fetal monitors and document care via CPN and Meditech EMR systems
• Adhere to AWHONN patient ratios (1:1, 2:1, or up to 3:1 for low-acuity patients)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required (completed within the previous 2 years)
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Current BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience at high-volume facilities with more than 3,000 births per year
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care
• Comfort working in a culturally diverse environment
