Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days and Nights Available (12-hour shifts: 3:00 AM–3:00 PM or 3:00 PM–3:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the full scope of practice as a Registered Nurse on a 20-bed Medical Surgical unit
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1
• Utilize EPIC as the electronic medical records (EMR) system and PYXIS for medication management
• Float to other Medical Surgical units when operationally necessary
• Participate in general orientation, EPIC training, Jumpstart, and 1–2 shifts of departmental orientation

Required Qualifications

• Current Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with EPIC EMR and PYXIS medication dispensing systems
• Experience floating across Medical Surgical units in a hospital setting
