Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized emergency nursing care to patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions
• Rapidly and accurately assess incoming patients, prioritizing injuries and medical needs in a fast-paced emergency environment
• Respond to a variety of trauma situations requiring quick and decisive clinical action
• Formulate and implement effective nursing care plans using strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary hospital personnel

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; at least 18 months must be in an Emergency Department setting
• ED experience within the past six months required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Active NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
• BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Telemetry and CEU Contact Stroke (4 Hours) required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree
• Demonstrated advanced level of performance and clinical practice in an emergency care setting
