Interim Director of Nursing (DON)

Location

Papillion, NE | Skilled Nursing Facility

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | On-call availability required as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct nursing operations within a long-term care/skilled nursing environment
• Lead clinical staff and ensure delivery of high-quality resident care in alignment with facility standards
• Support and manage nursing operations within a cottage/greenhouse model care setting
• Ensure regulatory compliance and facilitate required background screening processes upon placement
• Maintain flexibility to respond to on-call needs as they arise

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid Nebraska RN license
• Prior experience as a Director of Nursing in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
• Experience with the cottage/greenhouse model of care is required
• BLS certification through AHA (American Heart Association) or ARC (American Red Cross) only
• Must be available to complete NE DHHS background check within 48 hours of placement
• Must be available for a clinical interview; please be prepared to submit availability upon application

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an interim or transitional leadership role within a skilled nursing or LTC environment
• Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced or transitional care settings
