Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (4 West Comprehensive Medical Unit)

Zanesville, OH | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | No call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Comprehensive Medical Unit with a primary focus on Med-Surg patients
• Float as needed between various Med-Surg units including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarder areas
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings accurately throughout each shift
• Document and manage patient information using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure quality patient outcomes on night shift

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Ohio or compact equivalent
• Active BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience required
• Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry — competency will be assessed on day one
• Current Epic EMR proficiency is required — candidates must be independently proficient; refresher training or 1:1 onboarding support is not available for this skill

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working across multiple Med-Surg subspecialty units (Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, or Observation)
• Familiarity with ED boarding workflows and patient populations
• Strong adaptability and comfort with floating between units
