Job Title

LPN – Medical Surgical / Observation

Location

Zanesville, OH | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every third weekend required | No call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care primarily on Medical Surgical and Observation units
• Float occasionally between various Med-Surg units as needed, including Surgical, Respiratory, Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation
• Manage a patient load of up to 5 patients under RN oversight
• Read and interpret Telemetry as required — competency will be assessed on day one
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio LPN license required
• Active BLS certification required
• Current Epic EMR proficiency required — must be documented; no refresher or on-site orientation to Epic is available
• IV certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current/recent hospital experience required
• Demonstrated ability to read Telemetry — competency testing will be conducted on the first day

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across multiple Med-Surg specialties such as Oncology, Cardiac, Stroke, or Wound Care
• Comfort working in fast-paced, multi-unit hospital environments
