Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | 12-Hour Shifts (12:00 PM – 12:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Perform triage and ESI-level assessments for emergency department patients in a fast-paced, 9-bed unit
• Administer medications and manage IV insertion, EKG, and cardiac monitoring
• Provide emergency stabilization and trauma care, including moderate sedation procedures
• Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1, prioritizing care based on acuity and clinical need
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with a team-oriented staff on rotating weekend shifts; no on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Proficiency in triage and ESI, emergency assessment, medication administration, and management of critical patients
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with trauma and stroke care
• Moderate sedation experience
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
