Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health / Psychiatric

Moosic, PA | Acute Inpatient Hospital

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, with adolescent population anticipated to be added
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients presenting with mental health and behavioral disorders, as well as substance abuse and addiction conditions
• Administer and manage medications utilizing the Omnicell system, with 24/7 onsite pharmacy support available
• Complete clinical documentation in Epic, including paper charting for restraint documentation
• Maintain staffing ratios of approximately 1:20 depending on patient acuity
• Apply Handles With Care de-escalation techniques in patient interactions

Required Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania (PA) RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Behavioral Health or Psychiatric nursing
• Ability to work in an acute inpatient hospital environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication management systems
• Background working with adolescent psychiatric populations
• Experience with de-escalation techniques in a behavioral health setting
