Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health / Psychiatric

Moosic, PA | Inpatient Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift | 8-Hour Shifts (12:00 AM – 8:00 AM) | Weekends and Holidays as Assigned

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients presenting with mental health, behavioral, and substance abuse disorders
• Administer and manage medications using Omnicell in coordination with an onsite pharmacy available 24/7
• Complete documentation using Epic and paper charting, including restraint documentation per facility protocol
• Safely apply and monitor restraints in accordance with facility policy and patient safety standards
• Utilize de-escalation techniques, including Handles With Care methodology, to manage patient behavior
• Maintain assigned patient ratios (up to 1:20 depending on acuity) while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care

Required Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania (PA) RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Behavioral Health or Psychiatric nursing
• Experience with restraints is required
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and paper charting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with adolescent psychiatric populations
• Background in treating substance abuse and addiction disorders
• Prior experience with Omnicell medication management systems
