Job Title

Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Location

Hermiston, OR | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Nights (Night Flex) | 3×12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments upon arrival, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms, and triage patients based on severity of condition
• Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and treatments per physician orders; perform emergency procedures including wound care and splinting
• Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs and responses to treatment, adjusting interventions as needed
• Respond to rapid response calls, code blue situations, and other critical events requiring immediate intervention
• Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and care responses in electronic health records (EHR)
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered emergency care

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current RN license in the State of Oregon
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Ability to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to perform effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous clinical experience in an emergency or acute care setting
• Certifications specific to emergency nursing or areas of clinical specialty
• Experience managing a diverse patient population across varying levels of acuity
