Travel RN – Rehabilitation (Inpatient Rehab Facility)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Expected 48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in an inpatient acute rehabilitation setting, including those recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, neurological conditions, trauma, and orthopedic injury
• Deliver individualized, patient-centered rehabilitation nursing care tailored to each patient’s recovery goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EHR
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:8, ensuring safe and effective care across assigned caseload
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families throughout the recovery process
• Support patients across floors 1–2 of a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of rehabilitation nursing experience
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with electronic health record systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Cooperative, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) setting
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR platform
• Experience working with rehabilitation patient populations including neurological and orthopedic diagnoses
