Level III NICU / PICU Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a Level III NICU and PICU setting during night shift hours
• Assess, treat, and monitor neonatal and pediatric patients requiring respiratory support
• Manage and operate mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment appropriate for neonatal and pediatric populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Illinois
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Experience working in a Level III NICU and/or PICU environment
• Proficiency with neonatal and pediatric mechanical ventilation
• Current BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NPS (Neonatal Pediatric Specialist) credential preferred
• Experience with high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) and inhaled nitric oxide therapy
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills in fast-paced intensive care environments
