Job Title

Travel Physical Therapist

Location

Richmond, VA | Inpatient Acute Rehab

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM–5:00 PM | Weekend rotation may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services on an inpatient rehabilitation unit with a 44-bed capacity and a 4:1 patient ratio
• Perform manual therapy for neurological re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity training, neuromuscular re-education, self-care, and functional electrical stimulation
• Conduct stroke evaluation and treatment in alignment with Joint Commission Stroke Certification standards
• Utilize AIDET communication framework and immediate service recovery practices to support patient experience goals
• Document patient care using the Meditech Expanse electronic documentation system
• May float to the acute hospital setting when inpatient rehab census is low

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in good standing
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation and/or acute care hospital environments
• Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Meditech Expanse documentation system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with stroke evaluation and treatment
• Familiarity with specialized rehabilitation equipment including Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego systems
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary therapy team (OT/PT teams, speech therapy)
