Job Title

Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 Shifts per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a mixed critical care unit serving Neuro, Spine, Cardiac, Medical, and Surgical patient populations
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 2:1 with critical patients, flexing to 3:1 as needed
• Perform independent lab draws, PICC line management, and patient consults without vascular access team support
• Conduct and lead codes independently; must be comfortable managing emergent situations
• Operate and monitor advanced devices including balloon pump, CRRT, and Impella
• Float to PCU/CCU and inpatient units including Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED based on unit needs and prior experience

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN License or Compact RN License required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care / ICU experience required
• Experience with balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, and open heart patients required
• Must be comfortable drawing own labs, managing PICC lines, calling own consults, and conducting codes independently
• Every other weekend availability required; holiday coverage (Christmas Eve or Day and New Year’s Eve or Day) required based on unit needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a hybrid ICU/PCU environment
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
• Prior float experience across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Emergency Department settings
