Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Contract | Days | 12-hour weekend shifts in rotation; 8-hour weekday shifts may also be assigned | Self-scheduling available within reason

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub in a high-volume OR environment with approximately 75 cases per day across 23 suites
• Support Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma surgical cases; cardiac and eye cases may also be assigned based on call center placement
• Participate in perioperative call coverage — weeknight call expected approximately 3–4 times per 4-week period; weekend call expected approximately 1 shift per 4-week period, with a 45-minute response time required
• Adhere to call center assignments and coverage protocols, including circulator and tech call rotations
• Document patient care using EPIC EMR
• Follow hospital-issued scrub color and dress code policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• Experience circulating and/or scrubbing Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma cases
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Must be available for an ASAP start with an assignment end date no later than June 1st

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Scrubbing experience is a plus, though not required
• Familiarity with cardiac and/or eye cases beneficial
• Experience with EPIC EMR
