Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Pediatric)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Mix of 5×8 and 4×10 shifts (7:00–15:30 core hours); call coverage includes two weekend day shifts (07:00–19:00) and two weeknight shifts (19:00–23:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room setting
• Participate in on-call rotation, covering expected weekend day and weeknight call shifts as scheduled
• Administer and document medications accurately; must pass facility medication test within the allotted attempts
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination
• Adhere to a nicotine-free campus policy; facility tests for cotinine/nicotine

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license — license must be in hand at time of submittal; candidates without a license in hand will not be accepted
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required (AHA only)
• Compliance documentation must be submitted no later than 7 business days prior to start date — no exceptions
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of candidate submission; no more than 3 days of RTO will be considered
• Candidates must be able to meet all onboarding deadlines: offer signed within 24 hours, GA release within 24 hours of signing, labs completed within 48 hours, and license verification submitted within 72 hours

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but not required
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Prior pediatric OR experience reflected clearly on resume
