Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients of all ages in the acute care setting
• Deliver nutrition education to patients, families, and hospital staff
• Collaborate as an active member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust nutrition interventions as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with Registered Dietitian Credential issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Completion of a Commission on Dietetic Registration accredited dietetics internship and eligibility to sit for the registration exam
• Current Dietitian licensure with the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services
• Registration-eligible or registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics (highly preferred for those completing coursework after January 1, 2024)
• Prior experience providing medical nutrition therapy in an acute care or hospital setting
• Experience working within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
