Registered Nurse – ICU (Neuro)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neuro ICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and assess neurological status of critically ill patients and respond to changes in condition
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic EMR
• May float to the Emergency Department, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN License — must be in hand at time of submission
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) — must be in hand at time of submission
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; application must reflect at least 1 year of Neuro ICU experience
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
• Experience floating to Emergency Department or Step Down Unit settings
• Familiarity with central monitoring environments
