Job Title

Registered Nurse – Acute Rehabilitation (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient rehabilitation nursing care to an adult and geriatric patient population
• Manage a patient assignment of up to 6 patients per shift on a 13-bed acute rehabilitation unit
• Support common diagnoses and treatments including neuro, trauma, burn, gait training, strengthening, and wound vac management
• Utilize lift equipment and document care using the Meditech EHR system
• Float to MedSurg as needed based on unit demands
• Maintain mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult) and adhere to all facility compliance requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Iowa
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
• Mandatory Reporter Certification (Child and Adult) required
• Must be willing to undergo a 10-panel drug screening including opiates and provide titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) from within the last 12 months
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Background in MedSurg or Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC)
• Experience with inpatient rehabilitation patient populations including neuro and trauma
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR
