Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in accordance with standards of care, practice protocols, and established policies and procedures
• Administer medications and intravenous therapy safely per physician orders, protocols, and procedures; assess and reassess patient pain levels utilizing the numerical pain scale
• Interpret and document patient cardiac rate, rhythm, and configuration (PR/ST segment) and initiate appropriate treatment plans based on physician orders; acute telemetry experience required
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating patient care
• Provide thorough and accurate documentation of pertinent data, therapeutic interventions, and patient responses; complete medication reconciliation documentation for the attending physician
• Provide patient and family education based on identified learning needs and collaborate on discharge planning incorporating appropriate support systems and resources

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Massachusetts RN License
• ACLS certification required upon hire
• Previous acute telemetry experience required
• MOAB class required within 60 days of hire

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience
• Experience with surgical patient care, including management of traction/orthopedic equipment, feeding pumps, chest tubes, and drains
• Demonstrated ability to recognize abnormal laboratory and diagnostic results and communicate changes to the physician in a timely manner
