CVOR Surgical Tech

Contract | Days | 4×10-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | On-call requirements to be discussed

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and/or circulate in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) cases, including open heart procedures
• Support the surgical team throughout cardiovascular surgical cases from setup through case completion
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control and surgical safety protocols
• Complete required facility assessments during orientation, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations
• Complete BCI/FBI background fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months permanent (non-travel) experience in surgical tech or CVOR specialty
• Active and valid Ohio state license or compact license — must be in hand at time of submission
• AHA BLS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission; pending certifications not accepted
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (co-worker references not accepted)
• No open background or license hits; facility does not accept any license hits
• Travelers (excluding Nurses and CSTs) must be nicotine-free — negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start date, updated annually
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior CVOR-specific experience strongly preferred
• Experience circulating open heart cases
• Experience gained within a single location preferred, though not required
