Job Title

Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Location

Akron, OH | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technologist duties in an active Operating Room environment
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments and supplies accordingly
• Adhere to facility compliance requirements, including completion of required assessments and annual competencies
• Complete pre-start and annual modules as required by the facility; an acceptable score on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments is required during orientation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent OR Surgical Technologist experience required
• Active NBSTSA Certification (CST) required and must be in hand at time of submission — no pending certifications accepted
• Active permanent Ohio license or compact license required and must be in hand at time of submission — no pending licenses accepted
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months, is required — co-worker references will not be accepted
• Background check reviewed by facility; open cases will not be accepted and license hits are not accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single OR location for the required 12-month period is preferred, though not required
• Familiarity with a high-volume or acute care surgical environment
