Job Title

Surgical Technologist

Canton, GA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Schedule varies, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM; on-call requirements apply

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team in the operating room throughout a variety of surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile field and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and supplies
• Fulfill on-call obligations as required by the department
• Adhere to holiday coverage expectations: expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist within the specialty
• AHA BLS certification required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Surgical Technologist certification through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred
• Experience with a varied surgical caseload in an acute care setting
