Surgical Technologist

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Schedule varies, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | On-call requirements apply

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team in the operating room across a range of surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and surgical supplies before, during, and after procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments and equipment as directed
• Adhere to on-call requirements as part of the surgical team rotation
• Meet holiday coverage expectations, including 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist within the specialty
• AHA BLS certification required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Surgical Technologist certification through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred
• Experience with a variety of surgical specialties and procedures
