Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC / Intermediate Care (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Intermediate Care unit serving adult and geriatric populations with conditions including STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR, CABG (post-op day 2), and spinal surgery patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 in accordance with unit staffing guidelines
• Document and manage patient care using the Medhost EHR system
• Float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as needed, including ED holds when patients are pending admission
• Respond to on-call assignments and be able to report to the facility within 30 minutes when called in
• Operate within a Joint Commission Accredited, Certified Chest Pain Center and Level 3 Trauma community hospital and regional referral center

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid RN state license (Arizona license or compact eligibility required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Ability to fulfill on-call obligations with a 30-minute report-to-facility requirement
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for IMC/PCU/Stepdown patient populations
• Familiarity with Medhost or similar EHR platforms
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient management
• Background in a community hospital or regional referral center setting
