Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Pediatric

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend | 13-Week Assignment with Possible Extension

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a General Pediatrics setting, ensuring age-appropriate and evidence-based nursing interventions
• Float to specialty areas including Cardiac Acute Care Unit, Transplant Step-Up, Pediatric Oncology, and Critical Intermediate care units as needed
• Float to sister campuses within the local area as operationally required
• Administer medications accurately and successfully complete a required medication competency assessment prior to patient care activities
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the facility’s electronic medical records system
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies, including nicotine-free campus requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — license must be in hand at time of submission; candidates without a license in hand will not be considered
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric nursing experience required
• Prior experience in a pediatric facility setting required
• Minimal to no requested time off; any RTO dates must be submitted at the time of application

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred, though not required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Experience in pediatric specialty areas such as oncology, cardiac, or critical intermediate care
