Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Contract | Days | 5×8-Hour Shifts | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties including General, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, GI, Colorectal, ENT, and Pain procedures
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for clinical documentation and patient charting
• Participate in on-call rotation shared among OR RN staff, with an expected average of 10 call shifts per month
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes throughout the perioperative process

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license – State or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal; license hits are not accepted
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submittal
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers currently residing in the following Texas counties are not eligible for this position: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a multi-specialty operating room environment
• Familiarity with Epic EMR in a surgical or perioperative setting
• Comfort with on-call responsibilities in a fast-paced OR
