Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekends Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing and census demands
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license – state or compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Candidates must not reside in the following counties at time of submittal: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
• Experience floating across units in an acute care environment
