Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Amarillo, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evening Shift | 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM | 4×12-hour shifts | 36 or 48 hour/week options available | Weekends required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
• Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of acute and emergent conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float to other units as needed to support staffing and patient care demands
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Complete onsite orientation modules as part of onboarding requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact) — must be in hand at time of submittal
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS or NRP
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submittal
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior Emergency Room nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Experience floating across multiple units or care areas
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills in high-acuity environments
