Registered Nurse – Wound Care (BSN)

Contract | Days | 5×8 Hours | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | No weekends required | No on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized wound care nursing services within a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital environment
• Assess, treat, and manage patients with complex wound care needs in accordance with WOCN certification standards
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float to like units within the facility as needed to support staffing requirements
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November), as required by facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; South Carolina RN license required prior to start (candidates with pending licensure may be considered with proof of application or ability to complete SC walk-through process)
• BSN required
• BLS certification required
• WOCN certification required (continence certification not required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a WOCN RN
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric wound care experience highly preferred
• Prior experience working in a Magnet, teaching, or Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
