Job Title

Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Neuro Unit)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed 4th floor Neuro/Med-Surg unit using a team nursing approach with tech support
• Maintain patient ratios of 6–7:1 and deliver care in accordance with facility policies and unit guidelines
• Perform hourly safety rounds and conduct bedside shift report with patients
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with permanent hospital staff; expected to complete 4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• Float to like units as staffing needs dictate

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in South Carolina or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (may be obtained on-site)
• Proficiency with Meditech or similar electronic health record systems preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience on a Neuro or stroke-designated unit
• Familiarity with team nursing models and charge nurse collaboration
• Experience with standard Med-Surg equipment and procedures
