Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in a hospital operating room environment
• Demonstrate proficiency across multiple surgical service lines including ortho/orthopedics, neuro/neurology, general surgery, and GYN/gynecology
• Operate DaVinci robotic surgical systems as required during procedures
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties as assigned within the OR
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Participate in on-call, charge, and holiday coverage as required by the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• AHA or ARC BLS certification (active)
• AHA or ARC ACLS certification (active)
• Minimum 24 months of operating room experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• Proficiency in ortho/orthopedics, neuro/neurology, general surgery, and GYN/gynecology
• Proficiency operating DaVinci robotic surgical systems
• EPIC charting experience
• Must have a minimum of 3 months of travel nursing experience within the previous 18 months (first-time travelers are not eligible)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience and proficiency in urology and podiatry surgical procedures
• Scrub experience in the operating room
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
