Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every other weekend and some holidays expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a Level I Emergency Department setting with patient ratios of 6:1 for ER holding
• Care for admitted patients awaiting bed availability, including those in designated holding areas or hallway assignments
• Transition to acute care or Med/Surg Telemetry areas as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
• Document patient care using Cerner EMR — prior Cerner experience is required
• Float within scope of practice to support facility needs as directed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — Tennessee license or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal; pending licenses are not accepted
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; candidates with strong relevant experience may be considered
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR required
• Acute Care and/or Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• 2 professional references required (may be pending at time of submittal)
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or Level I Emergency Department environment
• Comfort with holding/boarding patient assignments in fast-paced ED settings
• Flexibility with scheduling, including block schedule arrangements
