Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab / EP

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Monday–Thursday | On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations, addressing psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care within the cardiovascular lab environment
• Communicate continuously with the physician regarding patient condition throughout procedures
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic cardiovascular procedures
• Continuously monitor and record patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab
• Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory, and assess procedure room and equipment functioning and readiness; participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities

Required Qualifications

• Active state RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Current ACLS certification required upon start and must be maintained
• Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac work, or in a Critical Care setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring in a cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology lab setting
