Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Transplant Nephrology (6W)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care on a 20-bed Transplant Nephrology unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Collaborate with unit secretaries, PCTs, and a unit educator to deliver coordinated patient care
• Utilize Meditech for clinical documentation
• Fulfill scheduling requirements including 3 weekend shifts per month
• Be prepared to float to other units per contract nursing float policy
• Support patient admissions in coordination with virtual nursing staff, allowing focus on bedside care responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 1 year of experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Background in Med/Surg, nephrology, renal care, kidney transplant, or dialysis
• No on-call requirements for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with transplant nephrology or renal patient populations
• Familiarity with dialysis processes (note: dialysis is performed off the unit)
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care or Level 1 trauma-designated facility
