Job Title

Registered Nurse – PICU (Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in an ICU setting with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Float within scope to all pediatric units as needed, including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
• Participate in every-other-weekend and holiday rotation requirements
• Adhere to facility emergency response protocols, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
• Complete required pre-start compliance modules prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact RN License (SC license must be active prior to start; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
• PALS Certification (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of candidate submission; time off requests after submission will not be accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be prioritized; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
• Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
