Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry (Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs and cardiac rhythms using automated telemetry equipment, including EKGs
• Provide specialized nursing care to acutely ill patients stepping down from intensive care who require close observation
• Assess and manage patients with heart disease and other serious cardiac or medical conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, initiating appropriate interventions in a timely manner
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using the facility’s EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of RN Telemetry experience
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) training required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Candidates with a permanent address within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers and may be subject to an adjusted travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Background in cardiac monitoring within a tertiary or teaching hospital environment
