Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekdays with every other weekend required | Contract, Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit serving cardiac, vascular, surgical, pulmonary, and telemetry patient populations
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Participate in every other weekend rotation as required by unit scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty experience required
• Active WV RN License or Compact RN License required; pending license accepted at time of submission
• BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption with documented allergist or physician record accepted
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Level IV Trauma Center or major teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records charting system
• Experience caring for cardiac, vascular, or pulmonary patient populations
