Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Beaver Dam, WI | Inpatient

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00 | Weekend rotation required | Every other holiday | Assignments up to 26 weeks available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to both adult and pediatric patient populations in a fast-paced ED environment
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including telemetry, as part of routine patient assessment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate patient and family-centered care
• Pass a telemetry competency exam (adult and pediatric) prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three (3) years
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to start; travelers have up to three attempts (a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course is required before a third attempt is granted)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation in an emergency or acute care setting
• Familiarity with both adult and pediatric emergency nursing protocols
• Interest in extended assignment lengths (up to 26 weeks) and flexible scheduling (4×12 shifts considered)
